Holy shit, America!
It has been a strange and stressful period as we have come to this election day. The divide between us is strong and we feel this rip in the core of our beings, but alas, this does not have to be our future! (Though, my fiery Goddess, does it feel like hell right now or what?!)
The Five of Swords represents oneself fighting a futile battle with those around us. Actually, if you watched any of the debates, you may have seen this card’s energy quite clearly! When self-interest rules our actions, we began wildly swinging the blade blindly in fear because we feel threatened. It embodies the “us-against-them” mentality, the lack of focus on our moral compass and imposing ill-will on others to protect ourselves and beliefs… Sound like politics right? *What is the cost of this?!* Why are we swinging at loved ones? Why don’t we feel empowered by our thoughts and words? Instead, we find ourselves in a wild defense based on fear. In a crazy time like this, we must choose our battles wisely, with love and a greater future in mind.
The [Trump] Tower shows us how our environment (or government) is exploding with change. This is a *major* arcana card, the energy is STRONG and the upheaval is REAL. Many of us are feeling the surprise and shock of what we hoped was a semi- solid foundation to build on, but here we feel the chaos exploding causing a nation-wide emotional outburst. Any foundation we once had is now being destroyed and we are doing our best to stand our ground as it quakes beneath us. Though, after moments of chaos and heartbreak come realizations of the big Truth. The illusions that were once hidden behind the veil are burning before our eyes. The well dressed puppets of politics have ripped off their mask and given us a face that matches their intentions. Yet, notice the eye that is above it all. Watching and shining out it’s radiant truth and wisdom. Chaos isn’t a ‘bad’ thing, it is a necessary thing when change is greatly needed. We must find the positive in this change and go within to find our personal truth and purpose…
Which brings us to the Four of Swords. Though we lay uncomfortably upon our chaotic thoughts, if we give ourselves time to rest, open our hearts to Spirit and go within to our deepest core, we can still ground and connect back to unconditional love. After all, it’s the very fabric we were designed from. Find your happy place, run into Gaia’s belly, take time to breath, relax and let your Higher Self come in and show you the positive and show you the lesson. Going within is not running from the problem, it is facing it with your ENTIRE being. Stillness has it’s rewards, and you must allow it in order to reap them. I promise you that you will return to this circumstance with a new perspective that you can balance with peace and unconditional love.
No matter who you voted for or who your loved ones voted for, we are in this together! We chose to be here at this time, under these circumstances with alllll these souls. So now we can ask ourselves, do we want to react out of fear or egoic victory? Or do we want to remain in a place of loving peace and shine our wisdom on the world? The choice is yours and there is no wrong answer, only your experience.
