I'll Love You Forever

"I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always." TJC 1960-2005
10 years later… Here I am.

I still clearly remember the morning I got the call letting me know that my mom had transitioned. As I lay crumbled on the floor, as if the sky had fallen down on me, every fear, every thought and every belief swirled around and through me. There were a few things I knew for sure, my mother was no longer suffering. Also, I was officially free of the burden an addicted parent brings. Third, I had no idea who I was outside of my mother, hometown and limited beliefs. I was 16 years old, confused, heartbroken and I was only what others thought I was, because I had given all my power away.

Even though I don’t remember anything for months after this day, there is no doubt in my mind that this was a huge turning point for me personally. The energy in my life began to shift. I had left my mother’s house at 14 years old, yet it wasn’t until she left us that I realized I had the potential to transform my life. A year later, when I finally accepted this fact and was ready for the responsibility, I moved away from Florida to Raleigh, NC.

Here I am today, heart open and pouring out, following my passion as a healer, surrounded by my beautiful family and friends and continuously creating the life of my dreams. I understand now, more than ever, what my mother had been put through and why she made the decisions she did. Her beautiful gifts, that she has passed on to me, were also her largest challenges.

So this is me giving my mother, Teresa Janet Chubb, a shout out. A grateful heartfelt message saying thank you for all the things you have taught me, the unconditional love and sensitivity you shared with me, my amazing older sister, Dawn, that always kept me reaching for more and the divine timing around your transition that set me free. An extra thanks for hanging around me even after leaving Earth and showing me that I can, in fact, connect with Spirit in many different ways. I vow to make this next 10 years even more beautiful than the last and I love knowing you are able to see all that I embody and create.
