Bee the Love & Light on Earth

No typo here!

I am in love with BEES right now!
Picture
I have been hanging out with them a lot lately and feeling a connection there. They come close and hover right next to my head. I just stare in wonder of how still that can be while flying. I delight in their presence! While others scream and run, I stay and listen. Sometimes, if they get too close to me or my son, I politely ask them to back up with a show of my hand, and they always respect our space. Link even chases them giggling and bats at them, not once have they tried to attack.

These bees are reminders of the miracle of life and nature. These bees, that should not be able to fly, do so perfectly and gracefully while working together in perfect unison. They ensure the future of their species and to be honest ours too. Albert Einstein said, “If the bee disappears from the surface of the earth, man would have no more than four years to live.”  While this timeline may be debatable, it’s clear that our lives and plants (aka FOOD) would dwindle with out them. When is the last time you thanked a beehive for it’s wonderful work? Or even for it’s example of what happens when a large family works together for the greater good of all.

This is my dream for humanity. Unite as One to care for all.

Bees recognize the value of equality, harmony and love within a species. They have been recognized as royalty in many ancient civilizations.

Even their homes show us symbolic significance. “I’d like to hone in on the hexagonal symbolism of the beehive/honeycomb. Hexagons are comprised of six sides. The number six is symbolic of love (six is a sacred number for the goddess Venus), communication, balance and union. So, regarding the home (hive), the bee is a symbol of wholesome child-rearing, love within the family, domestic stability, harmony and open communication among family members.” (Whats Your Sign- Bee Meaning)

Out of respect for the bees and their hard work, I have decided to pass on the use of honey, as they need it themselves, and raise awareness on their disappearing. These lovely creatures provide so much for us and are taken for granted all too often.

So next time you see a bee, thank that bug and relish in the miraculous ways of Mother Nature!
